The Sixteen, conducted by Harry Christophers

The Sixteen

World-renowned choir The Sixteen presents its 2013 Choral Pilgrimage programme, The Queen of Heaven. An unmissable new version of Allegri’s Miserere is one of the programme’s highlights, accompanied by glorious music from Palestrina and MacMillan. The new Miserere draws on original source material to show how the piece has evolved over the centuries into the work audiences know today. Founder and Conductor Harry Christophers says ‘I have decided to look at the music of three composers who, although separated by centuries, are unique in their devotion to the church. We really do have a wealth of amazing music for you which I have no doubt will enrich all our lives’.
